About Park E. Pearson

Park joined the KPMG San Antonio office of the international public accounting firm in 1969 and became a Partner in 1979. He served as the San Antonio Office Managing Partner from 1995 until 2003, and as an audit partner until September of 2004. Park has thirty-five years of professional experience serving publicly and privately held clients in the manufacturing, service, energy and high-tech industries.

He has been involved in the initial public offerings of a significant number of these clients. He served on KPMG’s Quality Performance Review Team and also was as an Associate SEC Reviewing Partner and the Professional Practice Partner of the South Texas Business Unit (Austin and San Antonio).

From 2005 to the present time, Park has served as a consultant to the Financial Accounting Standards Board on its Codification Project, to amalgamate accounting standards in the United States.

Park received his BBA from Baylor University in 1969 and is a Certified Public Accountant. Additionally he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Texas Society of CPAs and Financial Executives Institute.

Park serves or has served on a number of volunteer boards and organizations to include:

Member of the Water Resources Committee of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce
Deacon, Treasurer and member of the Board of Thousand Oaks Christian Church
Member, Financial Executives Institute of San Antonio
Past President of the Forum on Entrepreneurship, affiliated with St. Mary’s University
Past President of the Petroleum Accounting Society of San Antonio
